Lighting design is a creative process informed by an understanding of environment, architecture, community, and technology. Francis Krahe & Associates Inc. formulates lighting solutions through an exploration and analysis of each of these topics, with emphasis on collaborative design discussions with the client, the users, and the architect. We focus our creative capabilities and experience toward meaningful solutions with lasting value by learning and respecting the challenges and opportunities of each project. The process of investigation and discussion creates solutions to be developed, embellished, and coordinated with the design team. This method develops lighting which enhances and articulates the unique aspects of place, and the special activities within that place at night. The lighting components are also wed to the form and personality of the architecture and the context. Our goal is to satisfy the utilitarian requirements of illumination while forming an absolutely captivating environment through the pattern, color, texture of light.

Francis Krahe & Associates will provide the primary creative design and technical analysis for all lighting aspects of the project. FK&A Lighting Designers will also evaluate environmental, energy efficiency and lighting technology issues involved with the plan.
